System Integration Project Manager

For the project management of our System Integration projects of our products and to provide guidance to our implementation support team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to expand our development and support team.

You will participate in the project estimating, definition, planning and organising the rollout of the mBalance GSM products and projects.  Your task will be to manage projects on timelines, resources and budget as well as to produce project documentation, oversee integration testing, ensure problem resolution, manage vendor relationships and manage customer environments.

You will be involved in the Quality Assurance activities and liaise with several R&D Project Managers to ensure smooth customer implementation of our wireless network solutions for mobile networks, and you will be managing on-site installations (world-wide).

As part of a small team of professionals, you will be based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

At least the following shall be part of your CV:

  • Bachelors or Master (software) engineering degree, electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Work experience in ICT, preferably in telecom product environment.
  • Experience with high profile system integration projects in complex environments.
  • Experience in Project Management of System Integration projects, including Risk Management, Estimating, Project Planning, Customer Management and Vendor Management.
  • Experience with MS Project and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of GSM Networks, IP Networking, Hardware platforms, Software Development, Testing, and System Integration.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, ITIL, TMAP and PRINCE 2.
  • It is to your advantage if you also have implemented wireless messaging systems in GSM, CDMA, UMTS or other mobile networks, including Short Message Services and Multimedia Messaging.
  • Must demonstrate excellent negotiotiating skills and have the ability to motivate people.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills and have expierence in customer facing roles.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Must have a supportive attitude, be customer focused also when working under stress.
  • You have no objection to travelling around the world for short projects.
  • Fluent in English language (written en spoken) and preferable also in Dutch.
