Based in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for the provision of business and decision support (including budgeting, forecasting and business reporting) for the business units. This position provides guidance and support on European and Corporate reporting issues and acts as a contact for local leaders. It is a staff position which gets his authority from the Finance Director. It is also a critical position in ensuring that required finance processes, functions and programs are effective and coordinated on global bases.  

This controller participates in go-lives of new areas and also in the set up of harmonized accounting structure in new areas. The controller also improves existing processes and structures and develops new procedures. 

This role requires:

• University background with specialization on Finance / Controlling or similar education;
• 5 years upwards working experience;
• Analytical mindset; structured and methodical approach;
• Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organizational skills;
• Highly motivated team player with the ability to work independently;
• Understanding of accounting principles;
• Process thinking, good communication skills;
• Competent user in Microsoft Excel and Power Point;
• Good skills in ERP systems and reporting tools, like SAP or Navision;
• Fluent in English (verbally and in writing).

This role requires also incidentally traveling to Asia or other countries.
