A two-year Master Class leads to a qualification as a Certified Mobile Messaging Engineer
mBalance, the recognised partner in the area of innovative and high-quality routing products for SMS services, is introducing the ‘Mobile Messaging Master Class’, a training initiative to give talented starters in the IT and telecoms sectors the opportunity to develop a career in the highly promising world of Mobile Messaging.
In the
mBalance Master Class, talented young technical enthusiasts get to work in an inspiring environment among specialists who transfer their knowledge to the newcomers. This allows the selected talent to acquire practical work experience and ultimately to call themselves a ‘Certified Mobile Messaging Engineer’.
‘The Master Class training is intensive’, says Marien van Ouwerkerk, director of
mBalance. ‘Candidates must realise this. This is why we consciously focus on the top ten percent of technical students.’ While van Ouwerkerk is therefore primarily targeting the above-average student, the training is also open to ambitious young people who have had some years of work experience. ‘A solid technical background and 1 or 2 years of work in a high-tech function is also proof that someone can perform and could fit into the mBalance profile’, according to van Ouwerkerk.
The search is on for young dynamic talented people who are attending or have attended technical training, preferably in software engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable educational stream. During the training, the candidates end up working as a Test Engineer, Customer Support Engineer and Implementation Engineer. In the latter function, the Master Class student may be sent out to customers in different countries. During the training the student receives a salary and benefits from all of the other facilities which mBalance has to offer.
The first phase of the Master Class comprises an intensive learning programme that will lead to the acquisition of certificates that are highly reputed in the market. After these three months, the following nine months are dedicated to learning on the job: ‘working alongside’ experts and getting involved in various technical disciplines in a ‘job rotation cycle’. The last phase, which lasts six months, is dedicated to completing a business-critical assignment in cooperation with the other trainees.
The Master Class lasts a total of two years, with the last year spent as a trainee. After completing the training, the student is able to function independently as a fully-fledged Mobile Messaging specialist, with expertise in the area of messaging techniques, networking (Cisco, SS.7, SIGTRAN, Messaging specific protocols), important operating systems (Linux, Unix, Solaris) and databases (Oracle, mySQL). Once the person is so far and has been awarded the title ‘Certified Mobile Messaging Engineer,’
mBalance will make the student a proposal for a position in the company with an attractive career path as a prospect.
