Britisch Airways has sent over 11,000 SMS apologies

British Airways sent out over 11,000 SMS apologies in the week following the opening of its new Terminal 5.

 

The airline used SMS to contact around 25% of its 40,000 passengers who had signed up to receive text alerts.



British Airways SMS traffic, rocketed as the terminal was hit by a series of troubles which resulted in hundreds of cancelled and delayed flights and a large backlog of almost 20,000 bags and suitcases.
